from press release
During the summer of 2015 James DiLalla joined the 2017 Gaffer Elite Team while spending time with his grandfather, Ted Marks. James had just finished his sophomore year at Mercersburg Academy receiving a top flight education, but still participating in football and lacrosse. One of his goals was to play college lacrosse and his recent commitment to play at Division III Union College has brought that to fruition. The GEL staff found James to be a tremendous athlete with a lot of lacrosse potential, which really shone through as the summer progressed.
At Mercersburg James played lacrosse for Michael Conklin and has shown himself to be strong between the lines as a two way midfielder with the ability to score. As a two sport athlete he had large time demands, but was consistently able to maintain grades high enough to gain entrance into a prestigious academic institution such as Union College in Schenectady, NY.
James has told Union College Coach Paul Wehrum that when he becomes a Dutchman, it is his plan on focusing on an economics/business major. The Gaffer Elite staff continues to be proud of the player he has become and the small role we played in his lacrosse journey.
