from press release
The tenth Gaffer player, Tyler Rogan has made a commitment to play lacrosse at SUNY Oswego next year. He has been a member of Gaffer Elite lacrosse since its inception during the fall of 2012. Although he started out as an attackman he found his true calling as a defenseman. This decision was aided by his growth to 6’ 4” and his aggressive football approach to lacrosse. He maintained his attack stickwork abilities and uses his long frame to keep opponents away from the net.
At his home school of Horseheads he played for Peter Cook’s first Class B Sectional Championship team in 2016. His play was an anchor for a successful defense that shut down many opponents last spring. He also was a two way performer for the Blue Raiders football team over the last four years. In the classroom he was consistently a 90% average student, who had numerous college options to decide from for his final destination.
Tyler has told Oswego Coach Drew Bezek he plans on pursuing a Business Administration degree, when he matriculates at the Home of the Oswego Lakers.
