Jake Carlson has committed to play LSM for the green and gold at Keuka College. His involvement with the Gaffer Elite Lacrosse program started in the fall of 2012, when it expanded to include all interested players. He started with GEL as a short stick midfielder, but after the first season his aggressive style helped him become a standout long stick middie. As a defender Jake has always shown great physicality on the ball and exceptional communication abilities to communicate the defensive slides. His decision makes him the ninth member of his GEL Class to make this important decision.
At Horseheads he was a varsity starter as a junior on Coach Peter Cook’s first Sectional Championship Team during the spring of 2016. In the classroom he has consistently been a 90% student with strong abilities in the sciences. Jake played varsity football during his senior year and was a strong defensive contributor in that sport. He also was a member of the Horseheads winter track team, running the 55 and 400 meters his junior year and throwing shot put his senior year.
The Keuka College Wolves had an outstanding year at 12-3 and advanced to their league Championship Game. Jake has told Coach Jason Paige that he plans on majoring in Biology with plans to work towards a degree in Physical Therapy.
