Carthage a/m Thomas Grimm has given his verbal commitment to play lacrosse at Syracuse University. Grimm, a junior this fall, was a First-Team All-CNY in both 2008 and 2009. He began playing on the varsity team as an eighth grader.
With an outstanding 304 career points (158 g; 156 a) so far, Grimm is tenth in all-time scoring at Carthage behind names like Grimm (brother Robert), Jared Little, Tony and Mario Ventiquattro, Jason and Josh Coffman, and Mikey, Ryan, and Casey Powell. Casey Powell holds the record for scoring in NY with 553 points.
Thomas chose not to follow brothers Robert and Jamie to UMBC. In an email from Thomas' mother, she confirmed the verbal commitment and said it has been his boyhood dream to play for the Orange.
