This past week the 2015 Sweetlax National team traveled to Florida to take part in the Dicks Tournament of Champions. With a roster of some of the top recruits from all over the country, the team went undefeated on the opening 2 days of the tournament and made it to the championship game on Wednesday.
They took on the Six Nations Royals Reds in the championship game and were trailing 6-2 early in the second half. With 4 minutes left in the in game, Sweetlax went on a scoring run led by 2 goals from Cam Horn and a goal each from Noah Taylor and Alex Concannon that sent the game to overtime. The scoring run was helped by some crucial face-off wins from Gerard Arceri. In the overtime period, Alex Concannon netted the game winner to lift the team to a 7-6 victory and the championship of the Elite division.

The Webster Lacrosse Club, located in Webster NY held it’s annual “Thanksgiving Day at the Box” game last week thanks to a lot of hard work from a handful of 30 year old and over guys. The Club traditionally has a 30 and over game starting in the morning on Thanksgiving Day, followed by the 30 and Under age group, typically consisting of the college kids coming back home for Thanksgiving Break.
