Vestal, Gaffer Elite Midfielder Quinn Webster Commits

    from press release

Quinn Webster has become the first early commitment for the Gaffer Elite Class of 2018 and will attend Division Two Mercy College. This very fast and talented midfielder has made significant improvements in his two years with the program. Since the start of his time with GEL, he has shown himself to be a strong dodger willing to use both hands. Equally important to college coaches has been his outstanding ability to play tenacious defense, when not on the offense end of the field.
As a Vestal HS midfielder for Coach Chris Dutkowsky he has just begun to blossom as an offensive
weapon for the Golden Bears. He and Logan Wiland (GEL Class of 2017) have become a strong 1-2 punch at the midfield during the early part of this spring. Quinn has also played one year of football, but focused only on
lacrosse as a junior. In the classroom he continues to maintain a 90% academic average in challenging courses.
Mercy Coach Jordan Levine saw him play this fall at a Tournament on Long Island and was impressed
with this two way midfielder’s abilities up and down the field. Quinn has told Coach Levine that he plans on pursuing a major in Biology when he gets to the Dobbs Ferry campus and becomes a Maverick.
